The Voice of the Copper River Valley

KCAM is a 5,000-watt station covering the Copper River Valley in Southcentral Alaska. The station is located at the foot of the beautiful Wrangell mountains, 187 miles northeast of Anchorage at the intersection of the Glenn and Richardson Highways. KCAM went on the air in March of 1964 during the Great Alaska Earthquake.

Programming includes national and local news, weather, community news, family, teen and children's programs, and a wide variety of music ranging from country to contemporary Christian to classical.

Copper Basin Hockey

Nov. 20 and 21: The Glennallen Panthers first home games are against Hutchison at 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The Kenny Lake Hawks are in Delta Junction. The broadcasts of their games will be delayed until after the Glennallen games, at approximately 8 p.m. Friday and Noon on Saturday.

Monday, Nov. 24: The Glennallen Panthers host the Kenny Lake Hawks at 7 p.m.

Geoff Moore in Concert

Geoff Moore and Dana Weaver performed in Glennallen on Sept. 4 before about 250 people. Many Compassion children were adopted by concertgoers. The concert was free, sponsored by KCAM, Glennallen community Chapel, and Compassion International.

 

 

Sharathon 2008

Oct. 14, 15, and 16 : Praise the Lord for exceeding our Sharathon goal this week! Our total at the end of Sharathon Thursday is $20,683. Thank you for your part in Sharathon.
