"Your excellent outreach has really supplied a need for us in the bush. All your voices are so familiar and like our own family." -KCAM listener
Whether you're on the verge of your broadcasting career or you're a veteran on-air personality, you can be part of the KCAM team. Speak to the needs of the entire Valley through: a live morning show, which provides official weather conditions, the latest country music, news commentary and local interviews; hour-long local news reports three times daily; personal messages sent by people in towns to their loved ones in Bush Alaska, where phone lines aren't available; Christian teaching programs; Contemporary Christian music; local sports and community events; and much more.
Current Needs
Currently, KCAM is in need of a bookkeeper, an office manager, and an engineer. Also needed are announcers and creative production experts to operate the board, announce news, etc., do interviews, create commercials, assist with remote broadcasts and more. KCAM staff will train and encourage you as you learn the process and equipment. All positions are missionary positions and require the person to raise their own financial support.
Internships
KCAM will work with you to provide the duties required for your internship, as well as the length of your stay.
Summer Program
SEND International's Summer Mission Program is designed to give you a three-month taste of the mission opportunities in Alaska, while treating you to the beauty of this amazing state. You don't have to be the perfect broadcaster, just have a heart to serve God through radio. To apply or for more information, please e-mail smp@sendalaska.org.
