What God is doing through His People is Amazing !
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Our Chief Engineer Scott Hill works diligently to maintain our computers and networks, at times pulling all-nighters to fix failed systems that take KCAM off the air. We were delighted that the first phase of upgrades was being covered by a generous grant from the Elmer H. Schmidt Christian Broadcasting Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. This grant allowed us to replace 5- to 20-year-old computers and to standardize systems.
We are now focused on Phase 2 & 3 of this project.
While we have been upgrading our outdated computers with some great new ones that perform very well, we look forward to a smoother workflow in the near future and are shifting our focus to getting ready for the future with much-needed Transmitter standby modules and Tools for both the Studio and Transmitter sites. In the past we have borrowed missionary tools and used what God has supplied at hand. But anticipating that we need a maintenance person for our housing and have an engineer working both sites, having readily available tools is a big need.
Part of being a landowner and landlord is the need to do periodic major maintenance on existing structures. Through a generous Grant from the Elmer H. Schmidt Christian Broadcasting Fund KCAM was able to replace old inefficient windows and doors in our affordable housing that
we provide our missionary staff. The old windows and doors were resulting in the missionaries paying higher utility bills.
